When filming a project we have to have perfect audio. We do this by capturing audio with a different device rather than using the microphone mounted on the camera.
We use a handheld recorder from Samson called a Zoom H4n to capture audio that we synchronize with the video for maximum quality.
In today’s Quest you will:
- Understand the basics of recording audio for film
- Learn basic operation techniques for the Zoom H4n
- Learn tips for working on set with dual system recording
- Learn to use FCP X to synchronize audio and video
- 3.8 Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to synchronize correctly captured dual-system audio and video using software tools.
